With the semester coming to a close, the URGOV student team will be heading off for the summer. URGOV will be taking a summer hiatus and will return in August. The URGOV team will also be saying goodbye to graduating senior Nadia Iqbal. She will continue her life journey in NYC and will be aiming for law school.
In regards to state and local government, look forward to the Primaries for the U.S. House of Representatives elections in Virginia, which will be June 21, 2022. Voters will elect 11 candidates to serve in the U.S. House from each of the state’s 11 U.S. House districts.
We will return in the Fall to provide updates on upcoming elections, City Council and School Board overviews, and other news on local politics. We also look forward to welcoming the new members of the URGOV team this coming Fall!
